Hi Your B n B was a wonderful experience for me and my grandson .The room the porch the rocking chairs and the views were awesome but the trains most of all were the very best to sit on porch and watch them YOU GET A 10 + from me Thank you so very much Ann Turlington

Their Sunday brunch is a delight. The staff remembers you. The food is good. If you're lucky, you can eat on the screened porch and watch a train pass by.

I stayed at the Henry Clay Inn for what was supposed to be a romantic 2-night getaway back in the summer of 2011. If you've ever seen "My Cousin Vinny," the sleeping experience at the Henry Clay Inn was a lot like the nights depicted in the film. The freight trains blew their whistles every time they passed through Ashland, which was practically every hour throughout the night. Yes, it's obvious that the Henry Clay Inn is right on the tracks so I expected some noise, but the rooms were so poorly insulated from the sound that it was as if the trains passed right down the hallway. Not only were the trains loud, but the air conditioning system in the room kicked on about every 45 minutes and sounded like someone running a jigsaw. The air only blew down to one part of the room, which was not the sleeping area. We didn't get much sleep; the bed had the hardest mattress I have ever encountered. It was so bad my husband slept on the floor. There was no night manager on duty and a large group (sports team?) was allowing their children to run up and down the halls and the kids were pounding on every door they passed. I am not confrontational by nature so it was very awkward to have to bring up the kids' behavior directly with the other guests and they were belligerent as a result. When we got up in the morning, we agreed to check out after breakfast and just go home. We were downstairs early (only half an hour after the stated breakfast time) but there was practically no food; the large group staying there had come down right when breakfast started and eaten everything but a few yogurt cups and half a bagel. We asked the front desk if there was more breakfast but they said no. I was so disappointed in the stay. The only reason I am not giving 1 star is that the Inn is under different management now and perhaps it has been refurbished. It's a pity if it hasn't because the interior of the building is beautiful and it would make a lovely place for a daytime event like a wedding. The front porch is lovely and would make a nice backdrop for photos.

Really good breakfast food... The waitress was extremely helpful

Great Sunday brunch! And had gluten free options!!
